State of the Nikki: Work is insane. It's coming down to the end of the fiscal year and that's always the absolute worst time of year. It's just SO BUSY. And that's without the surprise stacks of paperwork dating back to JANUARY 2013. I'm looking forward to July, when I assume I'll be able to breathe again.

And now for the important people!


KEVIN PRICE
Is Mormon?

I don't know. Still in a holding pattern with this one. I did nothing with him last month. Like, literally nothing. He just wants to mope in a corner and I let him. When someone's had a whole book shoved up their butt you just feel bad about pressuring them into things they'd rather not do. So he's in his corner.

He still needs a dog. But not just any dog. An ~All American Prophet Dog.



HEDWIG
MY LOOOOOVE. It hasn't been linked, but she finally got her item (her trailer from Kansas) and told Danny about how she got to America/her botched operation. It's not something she's typically reluctant to share because, hi, the name of her band and an entire song about it. She was afraid about Danny finding out, though, just because of things he's said or how he's reacted to stuff in the past. She assumed he'd react badly, but he didn't and they're still FBFs apparently. Whatever that means. It's a lot of weight off her shoulders and she just hopes they can get back to how things were pre Ash Wednesday, when everything really started going to shit.

She wouldn't have kept all that much from the trailer, just the one shelf-o-Hansel she had and possibly the art piece that hung above the couch. Everything else, trailer included, is gone. Sold/pawned/given away/whatever, just gone.

Age switch still at some point. Not too soon, though. And she still needs a cat! Definitely cat before age switch. BABY HANSEL AND A KITTY.



ASHER TALOS
In a corner with Kevin, but not too close 'cause he's allergic. Unlike Kevin, though, this is pretty typical Asher behavior. He's happiest left alone.

He confronted Ray about being an ass and basically told him to get his shit together early last month. He's so empathetic and super supportive. Ray's lucky to have him.



BRYAN COLLINS
You know when you first get a pup and you're like OMG LOOK AT YOU ALL NEW AND SHINY AND YOUR HAIR IS AMAZING. And then you realize you actually have to write words for said pup now and you're just like que? That's me with Bryan and I have no idea why other than brains are stupid. In particular I worry that he sounds too much like Hedwig... but he doesn't. Like, at all. I can go back and read a tag a few days later and be completely fine with it but in the moment while I'm writing it it's just wrong. idk. Whatever. New pup insecurities. I'm dumb and brains are dumb but Bryan is not dumb and I LOVE HIM to bits.

OKAY. So. He is not adjusting to the city well. Nope. I knew he wouldn't, but underestimated how bad it would be and I'm realizing it now in his current thread with David. The idea of being apart from David gives him so much anxiety and that's something he has very little experience with. He's afraid David is going to get badly hurt at his bike courier job or vanish and it'll just be him and Sawyer and he can't even begin to process how that would work. Sawyer's probably the only reason he hasn't had a complete breakdown.

I need to get him out! Otherwise he'll eat all his feelings and there won't be any food left in the apartment.

All his worries and woes aside, though, he is SO EXCITED for Father's Day in a few weeks. He already has his gift to David all planned. It's adorable and cheap and he's pretty sure his Jewish baby daddy will appreciate both.

At some point down the line, when things are settled, BRYAN IS GETTING HARVEY MILKBONE. Because LOOK:



And then Bryan will forgive the city for making him live without heated toilet seats and only one kind of cinnamon in his pantry. FU RYAN MURPHY.

I'm reeeeally not looking to app for a while because I want to focus on Bryan and his adjustment to his new surroundings instead of just glazing over it while someone new settles in. I don't think I'd app Wade before the movie, even if he's not taken from film canon. I have an exit point in mind for Elijah from this past season, but I'd probably wait till the next one starts up to see where he's at and if he's gotten his life together at all. Which leaves Billy and The mother friggin Bard. One might be just slightly edging out the other. I mean:


It's sexy but it's hard!
